Functioning as a tie-in to the Tron: Legacy motion picture, the game will feature a voice cast that comprises nearly every actor/actress from the film in addition to an original score from electronic group Daft Punk. Incorporating elements of racing, action and role playing games, Evolution uses a third-person view and offers both single-player and multiplayer interaction. Game modes include physical combat with "Light Disc" weaponry, as well as ground-to-ground vehicular combat with "Light Cycles". The overlying object of the game is to "De-res" enemies by intercepting their movement with a path of light left from a disc or cycle. Online multiplayer will be available with support for up to 10 people at a time, with deathmatch-style "Disintegration" modes available in addition to "Power Monger" node control and and "Bit Runner" capture-the-flag-style play. A limited edition version of the game will also be made available, including a model Light Cycle and display case.
