Star Ocean: The Last Hope

Star Ocean: The Last Hope is a role-playing game with a real-time battle engine developed by tri-ACE and published by Square Enix on February 24th, 2009 for the Xbox 360. A continuation of the Star Ocean series, Star Ocean: The Last Hope utilizes a real-time battle system like its predecessors, but adds along a Rush gauge for pre-emptive attacks, not to mention a Sight in/Sight out system for counterattacks.

In fact, The Last Hope features a team-oriented battle system with 4 party members. Plus, The Last Hope is the first game in the Star Ocean series to allow users to control their own ship and even jump through the ‘star ocean’ by jumping along planets. Last, the Last Hope is a ‘prequel’ to its predecessors in that its based between AD 2064 and AD 2074. The Star Ocean: The Last Hope retails for $59.99.
