SSX Blur

$50.00 Released February, 2007

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Unique motion control.

The Cons:Some motions are hard to pull off.

The first SSX game to hit the Wii console, it takes advantage of the the unique motion control to enhance the snowboarding (or skiing) experience. Everything is motion controlled, you steer and control grinds by tilting the nunchuck (turning the ananlog stick in conjunction with tilting the nunchuck will make you turn sharper).

Tricks are also performed using nunchuck and Wii-more gestures. The biggest tricks, called "Ubertricks", require time and practice to pull off (the motions are often hard to perform), but when you do land a sweet Ubertrick it's well worth the time. The game also uses a gauge that allows you to boost your speed for a short time. This gauge is also needed to perform Ubertricks. You can fill the gauge by performing tricks. Button mashers (you know who you are) can no longer mash the buttons to get huge combos, but you sure can wave your arms like crazy. This game is not a totally new SSX, but rather a collection of the best from all of the previous SSX games remade with a cool stylized look for Wii.

Erik: #ssx_blur My bro might be getting a Wii. This sounds like a good game for the Wiimote. Apr 4, 07
