As the third installment in the Skate series, this game adds several new gameplay modes. The first is dubbed “Easy Mode,” which simplifies the trick system. The second, “Hardcore Mode,” severs to make the gamer more difficult and therefor more realistic. Difficulty is increased by requiring tricks to be performed at lower heights; getting onto ledges is harder, therefore players must execute combos with greater timing and accuracy. “Easy Mode” has been designed to be more forgiving, and allow more tricks to be performed with less skill. Another new feature is “Create-a-park” mode, allowing gamers to create their own skateparks. Online functionality has also been revamped, adding several new multiplayer modes.
