As a direct sequel to Need for Speed: Shift (2009), Shift 2 features a new helmet camera that not only places the player inside the vehicle, but also provides a more realistic experience in which players can almost literally feel the inertia and drag within the car. For instance, when a player makes a sharp turn, the camera pans into the turn like as would happen to a real racer. Also featured are the 2010 FIA GT1 World Championships and the FIA GT3 European Championship, improved graphics and audio, and an updated version of the Autolog multiplayer matchmaking service that allows players to form friends lists.
