Resistance: Retribution

Resistance: Retribution is a third-person shooter developed by Sony Bend and released by Sony Computer Entertainment, Inc. on July 15th of 2008 for the Sony Playstation Portable (PSP). The third title in the ‘Resistance’ series, Retribution is in fact a sequel to ‘Resistance: Fall of Man’ and continues the story through the eyes of British Royal Marine, James Grayson.

In addition, Retribution features an 8-player multiplayer mode with team deathmatches, ‘capture the flag’, containment, and assimilation. Retribution also offers automatic cover lock, aim assistance, and a non-replenishing life bar. Most notable about Retribution is that players who own Resistance 2 for their Playstation 3, can now connect their PSP (2000/3000) to the PSP3 for PSP Plus, which allows them to play Resistance: Retribution via a DualShock 3 controller. Or, users can connect their PSP to the PS3 via USB to access ‘Infected Game Mode’, which offers a substantially different storyline. Resistance: Retribution retails for $39.99.
