Product Shot 1 The Pros:New storyline additions are exciting and help expand the mythology of Pokemon. New Gym redesigns are more interesting and challenging. Expanded online play helps facilitate worldwide trading and battling.

The Cons:Doesn't expand much on Diamond and Pearl. Touch screen is hardly utilized and Pokétch apps are gimmicky.

Similar to Pokemon Yellow adding new features to Red and Blue; Crystal improving Gold and Silver; and Emerald improving Ruby and Sapphire, the 4th Generation finds its "director's cut" game in Pokemon Platinum.
