The 15th+ installment in the highly successful ‘Need for Speed’ series, “Need for Speed: Shift” is geared strictly for hardcore fans of the series, and in fact focuses primarily on simulation racing and drifting (versus arcade racing). In fact, some of the world’s greatest racing-game talents and real-race drivers were brought forth to complete this game, including Patrick Soderlund and Michael Mann. “Need for Speed: Shift’s” new driver profile allows the player to customize a persona based on his or her individual driving skills (e.g. aggressive, precise). These settings then determine how the player unlocks cars, progresses in the game, and also his/her multiplayer matchmaking.
