Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is a video game developed by Kojima Productions for the Playstation Portable (PSP) system and is a direct sequel to the Playstation 2 game Metal Gear Solid 3. The game takes place in the 1970s and you play as the character Big Boss (or Naked Snake) with a mission to infiltrate and neutralize a growing military threat in Costa Rica.

The story aims to continue and expand upon themes that begin in Metal Gear Solid 3 and also bridge the gap between other games in the series that are based in modern times. Gameplay continues the series hallmark of stealth based infiltration and high action, heavy combat boss battles. Additionally, the game has an emphasis on co-operative gameplay with two and four player missions and multiple character types with different strengths and weaknesses that are intended work together.
