It features the ability to visit Tony's nightclubs, the ability to replay previous missions with scoring, and additional vehicles. Throughout the game, the player may visit the nightclubs belonging to the character Tony. In these clubs, the player can participate in drinking and dancing mini-games, as well as manage the security of the club. This provides the player with a small distraction from the main gameplay, and helps enrich the overworld by making it feel more real. After a player has cleared a mission, they can choose to replay the same mission, but with a scoring system. This adds many potential hours of replay value, where the player continues to try and top their highest score. The expansion includes several vehicles not included in the original Grand Theft Auto IV, including high-end sports cars and sedans, as well as an attack chopper called the Buzzard. When compared to the original Grand Theft Auto IV, the Ballad of Gay Tony naturally has very similar gameplay, but includes new features and vehicles.
