Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 3's playable characters and Gundams will be familiar to fans of previous installments and the Gundam series with the largest number of available Gundams in the series thus far. Its game modes include History, Collection, Memorial, Challenge, Friendship, Relation and Special Missions, allowing players to build up various aspects of their favourite characters and Gundams. Meanwhile, Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 3's four player online co-op features 15 unique mission designed specifically to challenge the teamwork and ability of four players.
