Diddy Kong Racing DS

A Mario Kart style racer featuring Diddy Kong and other characters from Rare games. You can choose three different types of vehicles at the start of every race. The hovercraft is hard to steer but can travel over almost any terrain.

The airplane can fly, giving it access to areas other racers can't get to. The go-kart is the most well rounded, with good handleing and speed. There are also adventurous elements to the game, you must travel to each race course and challenge from a large overworld area. The touch screen is used in minigames that grant you items, particularly balloons. These balloons unlock new areas for you to race. Of course what good is a kart racer withour destructive items. Items include Speed Boost, Oil Slick, Magnets, and Homing Missles. The game allows Wi-Fi connectivity, you can race with people around the world.
