GT-D: #bionic_commando_rearmed This is a great idea... I'm not a console owner but I see PC listed up there so I'll be looking for this ASAP.

Truly classic gameplay with updated graphics, what more could you ask for?

As Special K said: Looking forward to other classics coming out like this...

Also the price is a great idea as well, the game industry needs more games that have great game play quality for a low price other then the more random ones from small developers that never get much farther then a flash game that prompts you to download a slightly larger and more fully featured version thats pretty much the same game only you download the file. Omar: #bionic_commando_rearmed A note about the file size limit. XBLA games used to be restricted to 50MB, and now they're restricted to be under 150MB. The reason is so that the games can fit on a memory card and be accessible to Arcade pack users that don't have a hard drive. Capcom complained abotu the 50MB limit when Street Fighter 2 was released, and are complaining about the 150MB limit now.

The con that is listed as "lowered resolution" is ambiguous since resolution can have a lot of different meanings depending on the context. In this particular case of Bionic Commanda it's lower texture resolution, meaning the patterns on the backgrounds and such may not be as sharp. No head-to-head screenshots exist so it remains to be seen what the difference in looks will actually be.

Furthermore, the game isn't just the same Bionic Commando with prettier graphics. They've made quite a few changes to the game (co-op being one) to bring it up to modern standards. Retooled boss fights, different level designs etc. They essentially took the original as a loose guide to build the remake.

It should also be noted that this Arcade release is also happening in the same year that a full 3D new Bionic Commanda is being made for PS3/360/PC. Very smart of Capcom to go this route. Feb 25, 08

dialupinternetuser: #bionic_commando_rearmed Why does XBL have a file size limit? They put the files on the servers, not users. I could see a limit on the size of the Halo 3 maps you send to your friends, but games? Come on. Feb 24, 08

Special K: #bionic_commando_rearmed I love Bionic Commando. I am super pumped to play this version of it!! I hope this is a sign of things to come. I look forward to "Contra: Reloaded", "Little Nemo the Dreammaster: Re-Dreamed", "Metroid: Re-Alienated" and "Ninja Gaiden: Re-Ninja-Starred" (none of which exist outside of my mind....but trust me..they look awesome the way I am imagining them...). I just hope they don't come out with "Bayou Billy: Return of the hardest game ever created". Feb 24, 08

Erik: #bionic_commando_rearmed I just watched the video for this on Xbox Live! IT LOOKS FREAKING AMAZING. I'm a huge fan of the original, and the gameplay footage looks phenomenal. The game will cost either 10 or 15 bucks, and at either of these prices is a steal.

Two interesting points of contention around the game: 1) the choice of price has been debated between $10 and $15 with even a poll on the official site (83% for $10 at the time of writing), and 2) the fact that the game will exceed the file-size limit on Xbox Live! if it doesn't downgrade the resolution for the 360 port.
