The game is capable of using the Wii Balance Board accessory in a surfing minigame. This gives the player a more realistic feel of the gameplay, and allows them an alternate way of control. Big Beach Sports 2 also features a multiplayer mode, which allows up to four people to play together at once. This allows the players to be competitive against each other, as well as increase the replay value. When compared to the original Big Beach Sports, Big Beach Sports 2 has some advantages, including new minigames, and Wii Balance Board support.
