The movie is set in the 22nd century on Pandora, a small moon orbiting a distant planet, inhabited by humanoid creatures called Na'vi. The protagonist is a paralyzed ex-marine who takes control, through a mental link, of a human-alien hybrid on Pandora, where he falls in love with a princess and is caught up in the conflict consuming the world. The game's story may or may not be connected to that of the movie; gameplay details will surely emerge as the release date nears.
