Anno 1404 (Dawn of Discovery)

Anno 1404 (Dawn of Discovery) is a real-time strategy game released for Microsoft Windows in summer 2009, and then later ported to the iPhone in spring 2010. Players start on a deserted island and must build a full-fledged civilization by interacting with foreign cultures, learning new technologies, and producing goods like mosaic, coffee, carpets, and much more.

As players progresses, they earns access to naval vessels/troops, the Noria (a water pump), and a chance to meet the Sultan. An expansion titled Anno 1404: Venice, which adds multiplayer, was released in February 2010.
